Harriet and M15 began season eight with a flurry of activity, building up the nest and crib rails. Harriet laid two eggs, one never hatched, the other hatched and became known as E14 (Sassy Pants). Sadly after only 26 days, E14 died suddenly and tragically. Harriet and M15 mourned the loss of this precious eaglet, as did all who watch this nest. C.R.O.W. came and removed the body and the unhatched egg. A few days later Harriet and M15 began to show signs of building the nest and rails again and were seen mating often. Giving us hope they would try for a second clutch of eggs for season eight. After 38 days Harriet laid two more eggs, three days apart. Both hatched giving us our Miracle in the Pines, a second clutch, a first for Harriet and M15. Our Miracle became E15 Miracle and E16 Grace.
