Description
This volume provides guidelines to plan and design small communities, including hamlets, villages and larger neighbourhoods within towns and suburbs, whether they are new or re-developed. Most of the ideas have been applied in actual plans and developments through the author’s own professional practice, in New Jersey and other areas of the USA, and are based on people’s fundamental desire for a good place to live, a sense of community and shared responsibility.
