Description
The United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management is charged with managing almost 104 million acres of surface land. This vast landscape includes some of the most ecologically and culturally diverse, scientifically important lands in Federal ownership. Documenting and evaluating the present condition and in some instances, past condition of its land is a critical part of the Bureau’s mission.
