Description
This project was undertaken to investigate the along-slope structure and variability in the circulation and thermohaline fields of the Alaskan Beaufort Sea. This was accomplished from five current meter moorings deployed from July 1998 – October 1999 along the shelfbreak and slope of the western, central, and eastern Alaskan Beaufort Sea. The mooring data was supplemented by a novel hydrographic data set obtained from the USN submarine Hawkbill in April 1999.
