Description
Part One – Harriet and M15 began season eight with a flurry of nest building. Before long Harriet laid two eggs. One never hatched, the other became known as E14 (Sassy Pants). Sadly after only 26 days, E14 died suddenly and tragically. Harriet and M15 mourned the sudden loss their precious E14, as did all who watched this nest. The body of E14 and the unhatched egg were removed from the nest by C.R.O.W.. After a few days Harriet began to show signs of rebuilding the nest, and they began mating more often. Giving us hope they would try for a second clutch of eggs for season eight, Within weeks (38 days) Harriet laid two more eggs for season eight, three days apart. Both hatched giving us our Miracle in the Pines, a successful second clutch, a first for Harriet and M15. Our Miracle became E15 Miracle and E16 Grace.
