Wilson was employed by Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum to travel the world seeking rare plants. This is his autobiographical description of his finds and adventures, an important botanical work of Wilson’s travels (and those of his predecessors) through Asia, Africa, Australia, and The Tropics.
