Description
The purposes for establishing the Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge are to conserve and protect fish and wildlife resources, included endangered and threatened species and wetlands. Refuge habitats include freshwater total marsh, forested swamp, upland deciduous forest, mixed pine forest, and managed grassland.
