Description
From the Late 1940s onward, much effort has been expended on improving reforestation of clearcuts in the Pacific Northwest. Research by public agencies and private sources led to upgrades in the quality of nursery stock, while many trials of varying scope and intensity widened the array of proven field techniques. Most information resulted from short-term studies of limited scope.
