Description
Water resources in Massachusetts face increased and competing demands. Accurate information on water-use patterns in the Commonwealth aids in the optimal allocation of water resources for both human and environmental needs. For these reasons, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP), collected and analyzed water-use data for one of the Commonwealth’s major river basins, the Concord River Basin.
