Robert Wingnut Weaver is a surfing icon, one of only two dozen surfers whose biographies appear on the “Legends” page on Surfhistory.com. He spearheaded and capitalized on the explosion of longboarding in the 1990s, co-starring in Endless Summer II, the immensely popular 1993 sequel to the 1964 surfing movie classic, Endless Summer. Holding a B.S. in economics from the University of California (Santa Barbara), Wingnut is one of the most talented surfers in the world. Having inspired and won the hearts of millions with his frankness, easy-going and humorous style, intelligence, and enthusiasm, he is in great demand as an event celebrity, surfing guide, instructor, equipment tester and promoter.
